1. Your statutory rights (consumers)
If you are a Consumer (natural person purchasing outside of your business activity), you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract under the Polish Consumer Rights Act (Ustawa z dnia 30 maja 2014 r. o prawach konsumenta) transposing Directive 2011/83/EU.
The 14-day period starts on the day the contract is concluded (for digital services like a subscription). To exercise the right, send an unambiguous statement (e.g. an email to legal@coding4bread.com) before the period expires. A template withdrawal form is available on request.
⚠️ Immediate performance of digital services
Under art. 38 pt. 13 of the Polish Consumer Rights Act, the right of withdrawal does not apply to a digital service if:
- the Consumer expressly consents that the service will start immediately, before the 14-day period ends, and
- the Consumer acknowledges that, by doing so, they lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.
When you check out for a paid Subscription, you will be asked to confirm this consent. Even where the statutory right is lost, we still offer a voluntary refund policy (below).
2. Voluntary 7-day money-back guarantee
Even where the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply, we offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first purchase of each paid plan (monthly or yearly). Email us within 7 days of your first charge and we'll issue a full refund.
3. Cancellation
You can cancel a paid Subscription at any time from your billing page or by emailing support. Cancellation stops the next renewal — you keep full access until the end of the current billing period, after which your account automatically drops back to the free plan. There is no cancellation fee.
4. Pro-rated refunds on yearly plans
For yearly Subscriptions cancelled due to a material service failure on our side, we will issue a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the billing period. Monthly plans are not pro-rated; your access continues to the end of the month you paid for.
5. How refunds are issued
Refunds are processed through Stripe to the original payment method. They typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. Any bank fees charged on the return are not refundable.
6. Complaints procedure
To submit a complaint (reklamacja), email legal@coding4bread.com with:
- the email address on your Account,
- a description of the problem,
- the date of the event,
- your expected resolution (refund, replacement, etc.).
We will respond within 14 days as required by art. 7a of the Polish Consumer Rights Act.
7. Out-of-court dispute resolution
Consumers have access to out-of-court dispute resolution through the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. You may also contact your district/city Consumer Ombudsman (powiatowy/miejski rzecznik konsumentów).
8. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us first — we can almost always resolve issues faster than a chargeback. Opening a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of your Account while the dispute is investigated.
